Does Nothing's new CMF phone bend or break in durability test?

The CMF Phone 2 Pro from Nothing has garnered a lot of positive feedback since its recent release, thanks to its appealing design and impressive specifications at a budget-friendly price of just $279.

Unsurprisingly, popular YouTuber Zack Nelson, known for his JerryRigEverything channel, has taken an interest in this new Android phone and has just released a durability test video featuring Nothing’s latest device.

Nelson’s durability tests involve subjecting phones to extreme scratching, scraping, burning, and bending to assess their robustness under pressure.

The CMF Phone 2 Pro’s display demonstrates good scratch resistance, as it is made of Panda Glass, similar to Corning’s Gorilla Glass, providing both scratch resistance and drop protection.

During the test, the plastic frame of the CMF Phone 2 Pro proves to be vulnerable to a box cutter, highlighting its lack of protection against sharp objects.

Nelson also demonstrates that the back of the phone is made of plastic by carving a drawing of a carrot with the blade of the box cutter.

In the flame test, the phone’s AMOLED display withstands prolonged exposure to heat surprisingly well.

In the bend test, the CMF Phone 2 Pro shows good structural integrity, flexing but not breaking under pressure, impressing Nelson with its durability.

Summing up his thoughts on the handset, Nelson praises the innovation and affordability of the CMF Phone 2 Pro, expressing excitement for future releases from Nothing.
