Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster

Capcom recently provided details about the upcoming Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, revealing that content will be removed from the game. Specifically, the “erotica” genre from the photography mini-game will not be included.

In the original Dead Rising, players could earn bonus Prestige Points (PP) by taking photos. Among the five photo genres available, the “erotica” genre rewarded players for capturing suggestive images of human and zombie females.

A recent preview of the “Deluxe Remaster” touts it as the ultimate version of the game, featuring enhancements and improved visuals. It has been confirmed that the “erotica” genre has been omitted from the photo mini-game (via Famitsu).

While some fans may miss this feature from the original 2006 release, others believed it added to the eccentricity of the horror-comedy game, offering a unique experience in an open-world mall setting.

Adding to the peculiarities of the game’s original photo mode, the other genres included horror (zombies and violence), outtakes (humorous events), drama (intense moments from survivors), and brutality (zombie or survivor deaths).

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is scheduled for release on September 19th for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
