The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Etihad Airways have unveiled the Abu Dhabi Pass at ITB Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair. This new digital pass enhances the visitor experience by offering seamless access to transport, attractions, and cultural landmarks across the emirate.

The Abu Dhabi Pass is available to Etihad passengers at no extra cost, with no app download required. Pass holders gain access to a variety of benefits, including a tourist SIM card with 10GB of data, unlimited travel on public buses, and 24-hour access to the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus network. These services allow visitors to explore the city’s key attractions with ease.

Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations at DCT Abu Dhabi, commented: “The launch of the Abu Dhabi Pass reflects our commitment to improving the visitor experience, offering seamless access to Abu Dhabi’s world-class attractions. Through this collaboration, we aim to introduce the emirate to a wider audience and make it easier for travel stakeholders to showcase Abu Dhabi’s best offerings.”

Aysha Al Kaabi, Vice President of Commercial Enablement & Engagement at Etihad Airways, added: “Our collaboration with DCT Abu Dhabi makes experiencing the emirate’s attractions more accessible. By combining transport, connectivity, and attraction discounts in one digital pass, we’re simplifying the visitor experience, from cultural sites to family entertainment.”

Building on the success of Etihad’s stopover programme, the Abu Dhabi Pass also includes exclusive discounts at cultural venues such as Qasr Al Watan and Louvre Abu Dhabi, along with special rates for Yas Island attractions, including Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld. The pass also offers deals at over 200 restaurants and popular experiences like desert safaris.

The initiative supports the emirate’s efforts to enhance visitor experiences and expand its tourism infrastructure.
