Dave Portnoy releases Zach Bryan diss track after country singer’s ugly breakup with Barstool host
Dave Portnoy has intensified his feud with “lyin’ Zach Bryan” following the messy breakup between the country singer and Barstool podcast host Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
Portnoy released a five-minute diss track on Wednesday with Barstool personality Josh Richards, where he insults Bryan, calling him “ugly” and a “b–ch,” and accuses him of cheating. The track, titled “Smallest Man,” was in response to Bryan publicly announcing their breakup.
Portnoy and Richards co-host the “BFFs” podcast with Chickenfry and had supported her when she claimed to be “blindsided” by the breakup with Bryan.
The diss track starts with Richards rapping about Bryan being on dating apps right after his split with Chickenfry, followed by Portnoy delivering a scathing verse attacking Bryan’s looks.
“I said trust me, caught your pants on fire / Tinder, Bumble, Raya, knew you was a liar. You’re a d—-bag, you just made a new rival / Pretty soon you going to need a revival,” raps Richards, referencing Bryan’s songs “Revival” among others.
“You f–ked up. / It’s about to get gory / Go post it on your Instagram Story / You say you remember everything, but I guess not because you forgot about your wedding ring,” the lyrics continue.
Bryan confirmed his breakup with Chickenfry after a year of dating in a message on his Instagram Story, with Chickenfry expressing she was blindsided by the public nature of the announcement.
In the video, Portnoy and Richards are dressed as policemen with fake mustaches, pulling over a man resembling Bryan driving a pickup truck. Richards raps about how Bryan mistreated Chickenfry, with Portnoy launching into insults about Bryan’s appearance.
“Consider this a warning for the next girl that dates you,” Portnoy sings before Richards adds, “We know for a fact that your whole band hates you.”
The video was removed from YouTube for copyright reasons, but remains on BFFs and Barstool social media accounts on X and Instagram, with Portnoy taunting Bryan and Warner Music for their handling of the situation.
Chickenfry mentioned that Bryan blocked her, Portnoy, and Richards on social media after the diss track was released.
Bryan has not publicly responded to the video as of yet.
