Sony Pictures Virtual Reality Announces Starship Troopers: Continuum

Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and XR Games, the studio known for Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded and Zombie Army VR, have unveiled their latest project: Starship Troopers: Continuum. This online multiplayer shooter takes players back to the Arachnid-infested wasteland.

Teased by ’90s film actor Casper Van Dien last week, the game is set to be released on Quest 2 and 3 on October 17th, and on PSVR 2 on October 31st.

Van Dien will reprise his role as ‘Johnny Rico’ in Starship Troopers: Continuum, set 25 years after the Battle of Klendathu. The war between the Federation and the Arachnid is at a standstill, but a secret on the planet Janus-4 could change everything: The Continuum.

In this game, players will embody an experimental soldier known as a PsyCommander, equipped with advanced psychic powers. With three-player online squad-based combat, over 20 weapons, and intense boss battles against giant bugs, Starship Troopers: Continuum promises an action-packed experience.
