Charli XCX wears Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown on Grammys 2025 red carpet
She’s the ultimate style icon.
Charli XCX, 32, made a grand entrance at the 2025 Grammys, flaunting a breathtaking ruffled Jean Paul Gaultier couture gown crafted with an impressive 250 meters of chiffon, as reported by E! News host Zanna Roberts Rassi.
Her daring ensemble was complemented by edgy accessories, including thigh-high heels with striking slits up each leg.
The hand-shredded design is a variation of a dress recently worn by Candace Swanepoel on the Paris Couture Week runway — where Kylie Jenner also made a statement in a similarly laced-up attire.
Charli accessorized with diamond huggie earrings and opted for minimal glam, except for her signature winged eyeliner.
The British musician is in the running for eight Grammy Awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year, for her viral record “Brat,” which generated numerous memes, inspired celebrities to embrace lime green fashion all summer, and even became part of the presidential race.
She is also contending for Best Music Video for “360,” featuring stars like Julia Fox and Gabriette, mentioned in the song’s lyrics, as well as Rachel Sennott, Chloë Sevigny, and others.
Additionally, her chart-topping duet with Billie Eilish is up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, with the “Lunch” singer scheduled to perform during the event.
Charli will also grace the stage, although her song choices remain a mystery, promising an electrifying performance reminiscent of her explosive Sweat Tour.
“I just want to have a great time,” she shared with W Magazine before the awards show. “Let’s face it, I wasn’t even on the Grammys’ radar last year, so it’s not something I ever anticipated. Regardless, wherever I am becomes fun anyway, so I’m sure I’ll make the most of it.”
The last time the singer attended the annual event was in 2017, donning a chic bright red brocade gown by Vivienne Westwood.
It has been a decade since the artist received a Grammy nomination — in 2015, she was recognized for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Record of the Year, thanks to her contributions to Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” album.
Welcome back, Charli XCX.
