California grandmother, Margarita Novela Galindo, killed after suicidal man jumps off highway overpass

A tragic incident occurred on the 210 Freeway near Sylmar, Calif., where Margarita Novela Galindo, a grandmother from California, lost her life when a suicidal man jumped off a highway overpass and crashed into the front windshield of her car while she and her husband were on their way to a weekend getaway.

Margarita was sitting in the passenger seat next to her husband, Florencio, when the man jumped off the Roxford Street overpass and landed on top of her, causing fatal injuries. Despite being critically injured, Florencio survived the incident.

After being rushed to a nearby hospital, Margarita spent several weeks in the ICU before passing away on August 28th. Her son, David, shared the heartbreaking news on GoFundMe, expressing the family’s devastation over the loss of their beloved mother and grandmother.

The grieving family is left with unanswered questions and regrets about what could have been done differently to prevent the tragedy. They are struggling to come to terms with the sudden and senseless loss of Margarita.

Despite their grief, the family is now focused on supporting their father, Florencio, who is mourning the loss of his wife. They hold no resentment towards the man who took Margarita’s life, acknowledging the struggles he must have been facing to reach such a desperate decision.

The family’s story serves as a reminder of the impact of mental health issues and the importance of seeking help in times of crisis.
