Brian Callahan makes Shedeur Sanders-Joe Burrow comparison

High Expectations for Shedeur Sanders at Tennessee

Tennessee head coach Brian Callahan has set high expectations for Shedeur Sanders, the potential future face of the franchise. Sanders recently met with members of the Titans staff, including Callahan and newly hired GM Mike Borgonzi.

With the first overall pick in the draft, the Titans are on the lookout for a quarterback who can lead the team to success.

Callahan and Borgonzi have a track record of success in finding franchise quarterbacks, with Callahan drafting Joe Burrow during his time with the Bengals and Borgonzi playing a role in acquiring Patrick Mahomes for the Chiefs.

Callahan emphasized the importance of qualities like decision-making, timing, and accuracy in quarterbacks, which he learned from veteran coach Greg Knapp.

Comparing Sanders to Burrow, Callahan highlighted their ability to anticipate throws and their timing and accuracy, which make up for any perceived lack of arm strength.

Sanders, who led the conference in passing yards and touchdowns, has been a standout performer and is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft.
