It might seem a little early to be thinking about booking Christmas shows and pantos, but nope. It’s that time already! (Oh, no, it’s not… Oh, yes, it is!)

We’ve rounded up the best family pantomimes and theatre this year, so book while seats are available! We definitely don’t want you to miss out – oh, no, we don’t!

When it comes to the best Christmas shows, you can’t get more traditionally festive than The Nutcracker. Over 100 dancers and musicians bring Nutcracker to life with exquisite dancing, beautiful sets and Tchaikovsky’s popular score played live.

Sleeping Beauty, The New Victoria Theatre Woking

Headlining the cast is the legendary Christopher Biggins, known for his work on stage, screen, and pantomime, taking on the role of The Spirit of Dreams. Joining him is Steps singer and musical theatre star Faye Tozer as Carabosse, and illusionist, puppeteer, and actor Richard Cadell, who will be accompanied by his friend Sooty, as Muddles.

Can true love triumph and break the spell? Who will outsmart the wicked Enchantress and thwart her evil plans? Find out in this spectacular panto filled with magic, music, comedy, and special effects.

Pinocchio is headed to Stratford this Christmas in a new pantomime production at Theatre Royal Stratford East.

Running from 23 November 2024 to 4 January 2025, Pinocchio features a book and lyrics by seasoned panto scribe Trish Cooke, music and lyrics by Robert Hyman and will be directed by Omar F. Oka. Round up your friends and family for this reimagined telling of the fairy tale classic, it’s sure to be a treat.

Robin Hood, The London Palladium

Join the merry madness as Palladium Pantomime returns for its 9th spectacular season with a brand-spanking-new production of Robin Hood!

Starring national treasure Jane McDonald as Maid Marion and Palladium Panto royalty Julian Clary as Robin Hood, this spectacular show also sees the return of favourites Paul Zerdin, Nigel Havers, Charlie Stemp and Rob Madge, alongside West End stars Marisha Wallace and Tosh Wanogho-Maud who make their Palladium Panto debut.

The Snowman, Peacock Theatre London

This winter family favourite is the timeless tale of a boy and a snowman who comes to life. Back in its 27th year, The Snowman is a magical stage adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Raymond Briggs and the film directed by Dianne Jackson.

The Snowman is directed by Bill Alexander and features music and lyrics by Howard Blake, including the song ‘Walking in the Air,’ spectacular design by Ruari Murchison, magical lighting by Tim Mitchell, and amazing choreography by Robert North, all of which is accompanied by a live orchestra.

Stick Man Live, The Leicester Square Theatre

Perfect for preschoolers, touching, funny and utterly original, Freckle Productions’ delightful adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Stick Man is back on stage!
