‘Blade & Sorcery’ Studio Confirms Next “highly moddable” VR Game in Development

Blade & Sorcery, VR’s beloved combat simulation game released in 2024, has completed its development with the release of version 1.0 in June. However, creator Warpfrog has already shifted focus to their next title, promising a game that will be just as customizable as their previous physics-based combat game.
While details about the new title are scarce, Warpfrog has confirmed that it will also be a VR game and will feature the signature physics-based interactions and simulation elements that define Warpfrog games. The studio has also assured fans that the new game will be highly moddable, similar to the modding capabilities of Blade & Sorcery.
Blade & Sorcery has gained popularity for its modding capabilities, allowing users to easily customize the game through manual modding or by using Nexus Mod Manager. This flexibility has enabled players to enhance their gaming experience by adding new features such as weapon effects and user-generated content like maps and weapons.
In preparation for their upcoming title, Warpfrog has been working on a new framework to replace their existing one. This new framework aims to improve performance and efficiency, providing a solid foundation for the development of their next game.
With a team that has grown from a solo developer to nearly 30 members, Warpfrog is poised to deliver another innovative and engaging VR experience. Following the success of Blade & Sorcery’s 1.0 update, which introduced the ‘Crystal Hunt’ story mode, the studio is focused on creating a game that offers a rich narrative, upgrade systems, and a fully immersive world.
Looking ahead, Warpfrog is excited to share their future projects with their dedicated fan base. The studio’s growth and success over the past five years have fueled their ambition to develop even bigger and better games for their audience.
