Bill Murray recalls 'insane' chore Bruce Willis had on 'SNL' before big break

Bill Murray reflects on Bruce Willis’ early days.

The “Saturday Night Live” star shared on “Watch What Happens Live” how Willis used to work behind the scenes at NBC before making it big in Hollywood.

“Bruce Willis was a page at NBC when I was on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ His job was to refill the M&Ms and pretzels in the actors’ dressing rooms,” Murray explained.

Murray mentioned that Willis was grateful for the kindness shown to him during his time on “SNL,” even after he left the page program at NBCUniversal.

“When I met him after he was successful, he said you and Gilda [Radner] were nice to me,” Murray shared with host Andy Cohen and Naomi Watts.

Willis went on to host “SNL” in 1989 and 2013.

Furthermore, Murray and Willis starred together in the film “Moonrise Kingdom” in 2012.

“‘Moonrise Kingdom’ was a beautiful film. I had a wonderful time working with [him],” Murray said emotionally.

“Bruce Willis is a good guy, a good friend,” he added.

Murray’s kind words for Willis came after the actor celebrated his 70th birthday on March 19.

Rumer Willis provided an update on her father’s health following his diagnoses with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

“Please wish my papa a big, happy birthday,” she said, noting that he was “doing great.”

Bruce’s daughter Tallulah Willis also shared a heartfelt message for him on Instagram.

“Happy 70th to my favorite friend! You are a light that can never be dimmed! I love you so proud to be your baby Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis,” she wrote.

The Emmy winner has three daughters with ex-wife Demi Moore and two daughters with current wife Emma Heming.

Emma marked their 16th wedding anniversary on March 21, expressing gratitude for their relationship.

“We’ve shared monumental highs and devastating lows, and through it all, we’ve built something timeless,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m so deeply grateful for every chapter I’ve had with him and all the ones we’ll continue to write, in our language of unconditional love.”
