YouTuber Nintendo Prime reported seeing a link to the ROM containing the entire game and confirmed its authenticity. However, no footage was shared to discourage piracy. Other sources, like Zelda content creator Zelda Lore, also confirmed the leak, advising fans to beware of spoilers. Despite the leak, not much gameplay has been revealed yet, with only glimpses of the title screen circulating. This situation mirrors a previous incident with Tears of the Kingdom, which resulted in legal consequences for emulator developers.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom introduces the ability to play as the princess herself, a first in the series. The game is scheduled for release on September 26.
