Nintendo Switch 2 "cannot come soon enough", analyst says for sales-related reasons, rather than just being desperate to play things on it like the rest of us

As we eagerly anticipate the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in April, it’s essential to be informed about some recent updates from Nintendo regarding Switch Game Vouchers and eShop Gold Points. These changes will impact both current and future Switch users.

Nintendo has announced that after March 25, users will no longer be able to earn Gold Points when making digital purchases from the eShop or official Nintendo website. This means that any Gold Points earned through these methods will be discontinued. However, users will still have a year to redeem any existing Gold Points before they expire.

Additionally, Nintendo has clarified that Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers cannot be redeemed for exclusive Switch 2 games. This update aims to provide clarity for users who have been using these vouchers to purchase games at a discounted rate.
