Alex Murdaugh jurors break their silence on jury tampering allegations

Two jurors at the heart of Alex Murdaugh’s murder trial have come forward expressing doubts about his guilty verdict as they address jury tampering allegations that surrounded the high-profile case.

Myra Crosby and Mandy Pearce, previously known as “Egg Juror” and “Juror Z,” revealed their identities in an extensive Fox News interview. This comes just weeks after the South Carolina Supreme Court agreed to hear Murdaugh’s appeal regarding his conviction for the murders of his wife and 22-year-old son.

Crosby stated that she was dismissed from the trial just before deliberations because she was not convinced of Murdaugh’s guilt. She felt targeted by then-Colleton County Clerk of Court Becky Hill, who resigned following accusations of attempting to influence the jury’s decision.

“Ms. Hill repeatedly asked for my opinion, and my response was always ‘undecided,’” Crosby shared.

Crosby was eventually dismissed after the judge received a complaint that she had been discussing the case outside the courtroom with her tenants and ex-husband, allegations she vehemently denied.

When asked if she believed her removal was a mistake, Crosby replied, “In all honesty, I do.”

Pearce, on the other hand, claimed that she was influenced by the court clerk to convict Murdaugh.
