The series starring the cunning witch will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, with two episodes.

Official Title of the Series

The show was initially titled Agatha: House of Harkness, then changed to Coven of Chaos in July 2022, and later to Darkhold Diaries in September 2023. However, the final title was revealed on May 14 during Disney’s Upfront presentation as Agatha All Along.

The series of title changes was part of Disney’s marketing strategy to generate interest among fans.

Who is Agatha Harkness?

Agatha first appeared in 1970’s Fantastic Four #94 as an elderly nanny hired by Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman to care for their son, Franklin. She was revealed to be a witch with a long history, including involvement in the sinking of Atlantis and the Salem witch trials.

Agatha served as Wanda’s mentor in the comics, teaching her magic and helping her control her powers. Their relationship was complex, with Agatha ultimately sacrificing herself to protect Wanda from a painful truth.

Agatha Harkness possessed a wide range of magical abilities, including levitation, telekinesis, elemental manipulation, and mind-reading. She also had a mystical cat named Ebony.
