Acer unveils new gaming PCs, including its first handheld and an Arrow Lake desktop

Key Takeaways: The recent IFA event in Berlin saw Acer unveiling a range of new PCs, including a powerful desktop featuring Intel’s upcoming Arrow Lake CPU architecture and Acer’s first handheld gaming PC. These new products aim to align with the AI PC trend, although they primarily feature mature processors.

Acer’s showcase included a gaming desktop, mainstream laptops, and a handheld gaming PC. The flagship Predator Orion 7000 desktop boasts next-gen Arrow Lake chips, meeting Microsoft’s “AI PC” specifications. Intel’s Arrow Lake CPUs will incorporate neural processing units (NPUs), enhancing AI workloads. Pricing for the Orion 7000 is yet to be confirmed, but it offers high-end specs such as an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and up to 32 GB of DDR5 memory.

Acer also introduced new Nitro V laptops, with the 16-inch model featuring Intel CPUs and the 14-inch variant offering AMD processors. Both laptops come with RTX graphics options, aligning with Acer’s “AI PC” branding. Additionally, Acer entered the handheld gaming PC market with the Nitro Blaze 7, featuring AMD Ryzen processors and Radeon GPUs.

Looking ahead, Acer teased a concept for a gaming laptop with a detachable wireless controller, allowing users to transform the touchpad into a gamepad with a simple gesture.
