Accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione may have been plotting attack against Brian Thompson as far back as August

Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of CEO Brian Thompson, seems to have been planning his attack since August, as indicated by entries in a notebook filled with angry rants against the medical insurance industry, believed to be his own.

In an August 15 entry, Mangione allegedly expressed his satisfaction in delaying his preparations, allowing him to gather more information about UHC.

His notebook reportedly states, “The target is insurance,” with specific mention of UnitedHealthcare meeting all of his criteria.

An October 22 entry mentioned in a complaint revealed by federal investigators hints at Mangione’s plan to target the CEO of an insurance company attending an upcoming investor conference in six weeks.
