Remedy Entertainment has unveiled a new trailer for FBC: Firebreak, the co-op spin-off of Control, and has teased a “special livestream” scheduled for April 24th where they will share “key launch details and future plans.”

This announcement suggests that we can anticipate a release date announcement next week to narrow down the current ‘summer 2025’ window, insights into a post-launch roadmap, and more previews of the game’s missions.

The latest trailer, titled ‘Hazards of the Job,’ showcases some of the dangers players will encounter within The Oldest House. Alongside the eerie sticky notes from the previous trailer, viewers got a glimpse of a Furnace that spreads fire in the Maintenance Sector, requiring players to activate sprinklers and fans to extinguish the flames, as well as the explosive pink Exogenic Mass that detonates upon contact.

Fortunately, players will have companions to offer support and encouragement as they navigate through challenges. FBC: Firebreak is a three-player co-op shooter reminiscent of Left 4 Dead, featuring an array of weapons including shotguns, a crank-fired fluid projector, an electric charge impactor, and a large wrench with an optional squeaky toy pig attachment.

Remedy has confirmed that FBC: Firebreak will be available on launch day on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium. Additionally, all playable content will be accessible to all players at no extra cost, ensuring that new levels will be playable by everyone. While details on monetization remain undisclosed, Remedy plans to address this in the future, possibly during next week’s livestream.
