SpiceJet to operate Haj flights from four Indian cities in 2025, ET TravelWorld

SpiceJet has been awarded the responsibility to operate Haj flights in 2025 from Kolkata, Guwahati, Srinagar, and Gaya. The airline will facilitate the travel of approximately 15,500 pilgrims, marking an 18% increase from the 13,000 pilgrims in 2024. This growth signifies the escalating demand for well-organized pilgrimage services.

The airline intends to run over 100 special flights for this purpose, utilizing both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft to cater to the travelers’ needs. In previous Haj operations, SpiceJet utilized wide-body Airbus A340 aircraft with seating capacities of 324 passengers, ensuring efficient and comfortable journeys for pilgrims. The 2025 operations are poised to enhance these services with improved arrangements to enhance the travel experience.

Haj flights play a crucial role in ensuring that pilgrims have safe, reliable, and accessible travel options for their journey. These special operations involve meticulous planning, coordination, and execution to meet the specific requirements of travelers embarking on this spiritual expedition.

SpiceJet has been conducting annual Haj flights since 2019, making significant logistical contributions to the pilgrimage process. The airline’s focus is on providing a seamless, efficient, and respectful travel experience for the thousands who partake in this sacred journey annually. This dedication to facilitating the Haj pilgrimage underscores the broader significance of ensuring smooth travel for all participants, emphasizing the importance of organized and well-executed transportation for large-scale events.
