NBA 2K23 has now been delisted
NBA 2K23 has been removed from digital storefronts by 2K, following their announcement in September. This aligns with the usual practice of shutting down NBA 2K game servers a few years after release. NBA 2K23 was launched on September 9th, 2022.
If you search for NBA 2K23 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, and Nintendo eShop, you will get different results. For instance, NBA 2K23 is no longer listed on the Xbox Store, PlayStation Store, or Steam. However, the game page is still visible on the Nintendo eShop, where you can only add it to your wishlist. Physical copies of NBA 2K23 can still be bought from various retailers.
The servers for NBA 2K23 will be shut down on December 31st. 2K has provided details on what this entails. “After this date, multiplayer games and online game modes will no longer be accessible. MyCAREER and MyTEAM will be unavailable, and earning Virtual Currency (VC) will not be possible. While Play Now, MyNBA, The W, and MyWNBA will still be playable, any features requiring connection to 2K servers will be disabled. This includes multiplayer, Online Leagues, and community sharing.”
