A significant update is on the way for Palworld in December, featuring the introduction of a massive new island to the game. Additionally, Pocketpair has announced a collaboration with Terraria for their monster-catching survival game, set to release in 2025.

Details are scarce at the moment, but the new island is said to be approximately six times the size of Sakurajima, which was included in the previous major update in June. This new location will introduce “Powerful tower bosses and many vicious new species of Pals.”

The developers have also promised that “A large amount of new content will also be added.”

Palworld made its debut in early access on PC and Xbox earlier this year, with console exclusivity on Xbox Game Pass. The game later expanded to PlayStation in September. The unique concept of combining Pokémon with guns garnered attention, appealing to a wide range of gamers with elements of survival and base building.

Despite its success, the game has faced scrutiny. In September, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company filed a lawsuit against the indie developer for allegedly infringing on a patent related to capturing and summoning monsters in battle. Pocketpair has vowed to defend against the lawsuit, and the outcome remains uncertain.

Nevertheless, Pocketpair remains committed to delivering significant updates like this new island expansion.

Stay tuned for more updates, with The Game Awards likely to be a platform for further announcements or reveals.
