Don’t Miss The Black Friday Deals You Want With This Alexa Trick
Black Friday has arrived, and if you’re like most people, you’ll be doing your shopping on Amazon.
It’s no surprise why: Amazon offers millions of products worth checking out, with plenty of fantastic tech deals up for grabs.
But even if you’re staying updated on the latest deals through Tech Advisor’s deals hub, you might miss out on some deals that pique your interest, especially if they’re not tech-related.
Fortunately, if you own an Amazon Echo device, things become much simpler. Here’s how you can leverage it to your advantage.
How to use Alexa to find Black Friday deals
If you use the same Amazon account for shopping as you do on your smart speaker, you can ask Alexa to show you deals on items that it knows you’re interested in.
How does it work? Because you’ve already saved those items on the site, whether in your lists, basket, or ‘Saved for later’ section.
If you’ve been doing this already, simply say, “Alexa, what are my deals?” and it will display a list of your top 10 offers. From there, you can ask Alexa (or tap on the screen of a touchscreen device) to get more details or add the deal to your basket.

You can even place an order directly from your smart speaker, but we don’t recommend it. It will use your default address, payment method, and shipping preference, which may not be accurate.
Have you never added an item to your wish list before? Here’s how you can do it on the web:
- Find the item you want to add on Amazon
- Below the price information box on the right, click ‘Add to List’

- The item will be automatically added to your default list. Click ‘View List’ from the pop-up window to see all your items

- To move an item between lists, click ‘Move’ under the ‘Add to Basket’ button

You probably already know how to add an item to your basket. To have it show up in the ‘Saved for later’ section instead, open your basket and click on the small ‘Save for later’ text.
