Casio’s First ‘Smart Ring’ is a Wristwatch For Your Finger

Casio is set to release its first-ever ‘smart ring’, the CRW-001-1JR, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its initial digital watch.
The smart ring resembles a Casio wristwatch in shape but is designed to be worn on the finger. The Verge reports that despite its compact size of just under an inch, it features an LCD screen capable of displaying hours, minutes, and seconds.
In addition to basic timekeeping functions, the smart ring includes three buttons for controlling various features such as displaying the date or time in a different time zone. It also boasts a stopwatch, built-in light, and alarm function.
The battery life of the CRW-001-1JR is estimated to be around two years before needing replacement, distinguishing it from other smart rings like the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring 4.
The CRW-001-1JR is scheduled for release in Japan in December with a price tag of 19,800 Yen, equivalent to approximately £100/$127.
