Rise Of The Golden Idol launches November 12th, with four DLC planned in 2025
The Rise Of The Golden Idol is set to unveil its latest case on November 12th, marking the beginning of a new detective sequel. Color Gray Games has announced plans for additional DLC content, similar to the first game, The Case Of The Golden Idol. These DLCs will consist of four standalone mysteries, each introducing new challenges to solve.
“We have a plethora of standalone stories that we want to explore within the Golden Idol universe. To bring these stories to life, we have decided to release four self-contained DLC chapters, known as Investigations,” stated the announcement.
“Just like the previous DLC for The Case of the Golden Idol, these new chapters are optional side content and are not necessary to complete the storyline in The Rise of the Golden Idol.”
The base game will include 20 scenarios and will be priced at $20 (or equivalent in your region on Steam), with each DLC adding “at least” four more scenarios. The first DLC, titled The Sins Of New Wells, is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2025. Two more DLCs will follow in the spring, with the final one arriving in autumn. Please note that this roadmap is subject to change.
The Case Of The Golden Idol was a standout title in 2022 and is considered one of the best puzzle games on PC. Rise Of continues in its footsteps as a mystery-puzzler with a dark storyline, but this time set in the 1970s, offering a fresh take on the series.
