U.S. President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump are set to meet on Wednesday (November 13, 2024) at the White House, as confirmed by a White House spokesperson on Saturday (November 9, 2024).

A statement from Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump will convene in the Oval Office at 11 a.m. at the invitation of the outgoing President.

Following his victory over current Vice-President Kamala Harris in the November 5 presidential election, Mr. Trump is scheduled to assume office on January 20, 2025.

It is customary for the outgoing President to meet with the incoming President following the election.

However, in 2020, Mr. Trump, a Republican, did not extend an invitation to Mr. Biden, a Democrat, for such a meeting after his loss in the election.
