Don't hand me the aux, Nintendo's got a new music app and I will use it to blast an hour-long version of the Nintendogs theme

Make sure to keep your hands on the wheel, we can navigate through this. I might not have the aux cable right now, but please keep it away from me at all costs. Why, you ask? Well, Nintendo is introducing a new Nintendo Music app that allows you to play an hour-long version of the theme from the DS classic game Nintendogs.

Yes, this is a real thing. Considering the company behind iconic games like Mario and their recent venture into the alarm clock market with Alarmo, it’s not surprising that they are expanding into other areas of our lives. Move over Switch 2, Nintendo is taking over every aspect of your life.

Once you download the app on your smartphone – whether you’re an IOS or Android user – Nintendo Music is essentially an app that allows you to listen to a wide range of songs from Nintendo games, similar to other music-playing apps you may have used before.

You’ll need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access it, but once you do, you can enjoy the playlists Nintendo has curated for you based on various themes, create your own playlists, or mix it up by jumping from one game theme to another randomly. You even have the option to extend a track, like the Nintendogs theme, to play for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or a full hour. I know what I’ll be doing if you hand me the aux cable.

Which other games have their soundtracks available on the app? Nintendo has highlighted popular titles like Pikmin 4, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Splatoon 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and more. There are also some lesser-known or retro game soundtracks included, which you can explore on the app.

Which Nintendo track will you be playing on the Nintendo Music app until your friends can’t take it anymore? Share your favorite below.
