Google and Samsung have joined forces to bring the QuickShare standard to nearly all modern Android devices, as well as Windows PCs. In contrast, Apple’s AirDrop technology remains exclusive to Apple products and operating systems.

The O+Connect app, which introduces the ‘Share with iPhone’ feature, is now available as a preview on the AppStore. This app promises seamless file transfer between users of both Android and iOS devices.

Unlike QuickShare, the ‘Share with iPhone’ feature is not available across all Android devices but does extend to OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme phones, which are part of the BBK Electronics family.

OxygenOS 15 introduces an AI Assistant in the Notes app, similar to what Honor’s MagicOS 8 and Samsung’s One UI 6.1 offer. This AI Assistant can summarize text into bullet points, transcribe voice recordings, clean up writing, and expand or shorten sections of copy as needed.

The new AI Reply feature in messaging generates responses based on the context of the conversation thread, with tone suggestions to guide the user in continuing the discussion.

Intelligent Search enhances system-wide search by scanning local files for specific information from notes and spreadsheets. This feature is set to debut with the arrival of the OnePlus 13.

In terms of security, OxygenOS 15, running on Android 15, benefits from improved protection with live threat detection powered by Google Play Protect. Theft protection features include locking down the device when it detects suspicious activity.

Biometric authentication is being expanded to more areas of the user experience to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive features.

Users installing OxygenOS 15 can also enjoy a fun Easter egg in the calculator app by typing ‘1+=’.

Overall, OxygenOS 15 offers a range of new features and improvements for OnePlus users, including enhanced security measures and AI-powered capabilities.
