Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Runaway Horse Guide

The Legend of Zelda series is well-known for its inclusion of horses, and in Echoes of Wisdom, Princess Zelda steps into the role of the Hylian hero to assist not only the citizens but also the animal inhabitants of the Kingdom.

One of the esteemed steeds from Hyrule Ranch has gone missing while grazing. It is now up to Zelda and Tri to locate the runaway horse and potentially gain an equine ally in the process.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Runaway Horse Location

To find the runaway horse, head west (left from Hyrule Ranch) and navigate through the rock formations occupied by Tektites.

Just south of the Tektites, at the designated location shown in the screenshot below, you will discover a small island surrounded by water, nestled in a shallow depression.

To rescue the horse, you must utilize a specific set of Echoes. Platforms like the Platboom will not suffice, as there appears to be a hindrance preventing the horse from standing on moving objects.

However, the horse can utilize trampolines to enhance its already impressive jumping ability!

Position a trampoline on one side of the small island, then approach it with a running start, prompting the horse to leap out and onto the bank of the hole automatically.

You can then ride your newfound companion back to Hyrule Ranch and speak with the farmer.

Although there is no monetary reward or special items for your efforts, you gain the ability to ride any of the horses at Hyrule Ranch. These horses are swift and efficient modes of transportation for exploring new areas without fast travel options, simplifying long-distance travel.

Keep in mind that when you dismount and leave your horse, it will remain in place. A map marker will indicate its location, requiring you to return to mount up again – or you can return to Hyrule Ranch and select a different horse.
