The release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II has been officially confirmed as February 14th, 2025. NISA announced this news today, alongside the unveiling of a new trailer for the game. This sequel follows closely on the heels of the first Trails Through Daybreak, which made its Western debut in July. While the game was originally released in Japan in 2021, Trails Through Daybreak II premiered in Japan in 2022.

Returning as the main characters in The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II are Agnes Claudel and Van Arkride, with the game set in the Claudel Republic. The game’s description teases, “One day, a shocking series of murders set the wheels of fate into motion once again. Chaos looms on the horizon as spriggan Van Arkride is visited by an unexpected guest. Who is responsible for the murders, and what is their motive? Time may hold the key to uncovering the secrets hidden in the shadows…”

In his review of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak, Miguel remarked, “The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak is the spark that this series needed, introducing an incredible new chapter to this iconic franchise. The shift in storytelling tone and the engaging dual-mode combat kept me captivated from start to finish. If you’re going to play any game in this series, let it be this one.”

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Through Daybreak II will be accessible on PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
