Ys X: Nordics

NIS America has revealed a brand new playable demo for Ys X: Nordics, the latest installment in Falcom’s popular RPG series.

Players can enjoy the demo starting from the prologue all the way to Chapter 3, with the option to carry over save data to the full game release later this month.

The demo for Ys X: Nordics is now accessible on PC (via Steam), Switch (via the eShop), as well as on PS4 and PS5 (via the PlayStation Store).

Here’s an overview of the game along with a new trailer:

After a chance meeting at sea, the red-haired adventurer Adol Christin and the fearless pirate Karja Balta become intertwined by fate – and the enigmatic power of Mana! As they seek a way to break the mystical bonds that tie them together, they become embroiled in a conflict between the Normans, seafaring warriors, and the enigmatic immortal Griegr. To save the people of Obelia Gulf, Adol and Karja must navigate their unexpected connection and the power it bestows upon them.

Features:

  • Two Heroes, One Story: Adol and Karja, brought together by unforeseen circumstances, must collaborate to determine the fate of Obelia Gulf and its inhabitants.
  • Cross Action System: Control Adol and Karja separately or together. Utilize their unique abilities to defeat foes, and fill the Revenge Gauge to unleash powerful attacks.
  • The Power of Mana: Use Mana’s distinct powers to overcome obstacles. Traverse dungeons, destroy barriers, create platforms, and uncover hidden treasures and critical points.
  • Sailor’s Delight: Explore new horizons with the sailing ship Sandras. Sail the ocean, engage in naval battles, and discover uncharted islands with this seaworthy vessel.

Ys X: Nordics is set to release in the west on October 25th for Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), Switch, PS4, and PS5. The game will feature English and Japanese audio options with English and French subtitles.
