Tabletop-inspired tactical adventure game Sunderfolk announced

Publisher Dreamhaven and developer Secret Door have announced Sunderfolk, a new digital tactical adventure take on cooperative tabletop gaming.

Sunderfolk is set to launch in 2025 for various platforms including Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PlayStation 5.

Chris Sigaty, the studio head of Secret Door, expressed excitement about the game, stating, “As developers, we like to look at what inspires us and think about how to make those types of experiences easier to get into, so that more people can enjoy them as much as we do. With Sunderfolk, we’re excited to offer players a game that’s easy to pick up and play, while still challenging to master, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Dreamhaven co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime added, “The team at Secret Door, and really all of us at Dreamhaven, are all about bringing players together around fun experiences. Sunderfolk features an unfolding narrative that takes players on a quest through the Sunderlands, starting in Arden, their hometown village. Players will battle through mines, wilderness, and labyrinths, encountering colorful characters, discovering hidden secrets, and developing new strategies for defeating enemies.

Using their phone or tablet as a controller, players will face monsters, manage their inventory, and interact with characters in the game’s world. Sunderfolk offers a streamlined alternative to traditional tabletop gaming, making it accessible and enjoyable for all.
