Football Manager 25 release date set for November 26th

Football Manager 25 is set to be released on November 26th, according to an announcement by SEGA and Sports Interactive today. The upcoming release of Football Manager 25 marks the beginning of a new era for the series, as the game will now be running on Unity with a revamped user interface and some features omitted from previous games.

Miles Jacobson, from Sports Interactive, stated, “It’s a great honor to announce the upcoming release of Football Manager 25. The FM25 development cycle has been a challenge for the entire SI team. FM25 is just the beginning of the studio’s future for the next 20-30 years. This release also marks the realization of two long-term projects: the transition to the Unity engine and the inclusion of Women’s Football. We are excited to share our hard work with you and look forward to showcasing more of the game in the weeks leading up to the release date.”

One of the notable new features in Football Manager 25 is the inclusion of the Premier League license and the ability to manage women’s teams for the first time. The matchday information screen has been redesigned to highlight the pitch with team lineups displayed on either side. Match stats, events, and other scores are shown below, followed by player conditions. The new Portal system has replaced the Inbox, offering an Agenda list, football news, calendar, and messages from interactions. Player form screens now display individual performance and contributions in the last five matches.

While there are significant changes in Football Manager 25, some elements have been removed, such as international management, touchline shouts, create a club, challenge mode, and versus mode. Fantasy Draft will be available in FM25 post-launch. The console edition will be available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 26th, with Game Pass access on day one. Football Manager 25 Mobile will launch on November 26th as a Netflix exclusive, while Football Manager 25 Touch will be released for Nintendo Switch on December 3rd.
