For future Halifax Mooseheads games, those interested in participating in the 50/50 jackpot draws will need to use their phones or log in online from home.

The Halifax Mooseheads Charitable Foundation has announced that 50/50 draw tickets sold at home games starting this season will be exclusively conducted online. Fans can now join the draw from anywhere in Nova Scotia without the need to be physically present at Scotiabank Centre to claim their winnings.

“Due to regulation changes with the Nova Scotia Alcohol and Gaming Division, all 50/50 ticket sales at Mooseheads home games will now be conducted online only via mobile device or at home, similar to the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Halifax,” the foundation said in a statement.

The foundation also mentioned that this change will support the arena’s transition to a “cashless venue experience,” which aims to reduce congestion during intermissions.

The proceeds from the draws contribute to funding community initiatives and programs.

The Mooseheads’ first home game of the season is scheduled for October 4 against the Quebec Remparts.
