'Arizona Sunshine Remake' Shows off Visual Overhaul on Quest 3 & PSVR 2 Ahead of October Launch

Vertigo Games is gearing up for the release of their remake of Arizona Sunshine (2016), the co-op zombie-killing adventure that started it all. They have recently showcased some new gameplay footage for Quest 3 and PSVR 2 as well.

Set to launch on October 17th, Arizona Sunshine Remake will be available on all major headsets including Quest 2/3/Pro, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets, with cross-platform co-op functionality. The remake will include all original DLCs and updates from Arizona Sunshine 2 (2023), such as the Dead Man DLC, The Damned DLC, Old Mine update, Trailer Park Update, and Undead Valley Update.

Vertigo Games has now released gameplay videos for both Quest and PSVR 2, offering a direct comparison of the graphical improvements between the two platforms.

Quest Gameplay

The new gameplay video, seemingly captured on Quest 3, demonstrates a significant increase in graphical fidelity compared to the original Quest version released in 2019. To get a better idea, you can watch John McChaos’ playthrough on Quest 3 to see the enhancements promised by Vertigo Games. Pre-orders for the game on Quest are currently available at a 10% discount off the regular price of $30.

Note: Players who own the original Arizona Sunshine will have the option to upgrade to Arizona Sunshine Remake at a discounted price, provided they have the original game purchased and installed on their platform. Make sure to consider this before pre-ordering!

PSVR 2 Gameplay

The PSVR 2 version showcases a slightly more polished look, featuring the same initial section. Hands-on previews of the PSVR 2 version from Gamescom 2024 in August received positive feedback. PS Plus members can avail of a 10% discount on pre-orders, which are priced at $30 on the PlayStation Store. PC VR players can also enjoy a 10% discount on pre-orders on Steam. While a specific gameplay video for PC VR is not yet available, stay tuned for what is expected to be the ultimate way to experience this VR classic.
