Princess Peach and Ariel meet in the captivating stage-plays of Mermaid Peach in Princess Peach: Showtime. With her enchanting singing abilities, Mermaid Peach can attract and control fish to restore peace to the seas, which has long been disrupted by the Sour Bunch. The Dark Depths & the Swirling Currents marks Mermaid Peach’s final act in Princess Peach: Showtime, presenting you with five Sparkle Gems to discover amidst the musical performance.

Below are the locations of these gems in sequential order, making it easier for you to track down any missing ones.

Sparkle Gem #1

Right at the start of the level, head towards the right and strike a pose on the spotlight marked by starfish on the seafloor. Open the clams in the next room to uncover the first Sparkle Gem.

Ribbon

Keep an eye out for a red clam with a voice emanating from it in the background of the set. Use the fish to open this clam and receive a Ribbon from the Ribboneer as a reward. Make sure to do this before rescuing Mermaid Sparkla to avoid missing out!

Ribbons are essential for unlocking new outfits for Princess Peach’s companion, Stella.

Sparkle Gem #2

In the same area, open small clams to gather fish and eventually unlock larger clams using the fish school you’ve collected. The second Sparkle Gem awaits as a reward for freeing Mermaid Sparkla from a large clam.

Sparkle Gem #3

Beneath a floating purple stone in the next area lies the third Sparkle Gem waiting to be discovered.

Sparkle Gem #4 and 5

As you encounter multiple whirlpools, sing alongside Mermaid Sparkla to disperse them. Clearing three whirlpools will earn you the next Sparkle Gem, while clearing five will reward you with two Sparkle Gems!
