Pagers explode in Lebanon: Hezbollah chief denounces Israeli attacks as warplane sonic booms rattle Beirut

Hezbollah’s leader condemned the Israeli attacks on their communications equipment as crossing all red lines, causing significant casualties and chaos in Lebanon. The attacks, believed to be carried out by Israel’s Mossad spy agency, have been described as unprecedented and potentially war crimes.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah emphasized the severity of the situation in a televised address, stating that the enemy had violated all boundaries and moral codes. The airstrikes have instilled fear in Lebanon, leading to precautions such as banning certain devices from flights and controlled detonations of suspicious telecom equipment.

Israel’s military has justified its actions as necessary for security and to achieve their war goals against Hezbollah. The ongoing conflict between the two sides has escalated tensions in the region, with both parties engaging in retaliatory attacks.

In addition to the military confrontation, there have been reports of assassination plots involving Israeli and Iranian individuals targeting key political figures. Despite the volatile situation, the U.N. peacekeeping mission in southern Lebanon has noted that exchanges of fire have not significantly changed recently.
