Quest 3S Name Seemingly Confirmed in Leaked Meta Support Page

Recent months have been filled with speculation about the name of Meta’s upcoming headset, thanks to various leaks. A new leak from dataminer Luna appears to confirm what many have suspected all along – the next headset will be called Quest 3S.

A leaked image from a Meta support page showcases an ‘Action Button’ that allows users to switch between virtual reality and passthrough modes with a simple tap on the Quest 3S headset.

If the image is authentic, it provides the most concrete evidence of the Quest 3S name amidst a flurry of leaks.

Earlier this year, a leaked image from a now-deleted Reddit post revealed a mock-up of a French Meta store landing page where ‘Quest 3S’ was prominently featured.

While the source of the leaked image remains unclear, an official image of the headset was discovered in files within the Meta PC client, suggesting the leak originated from Meta or a close partner.

In May, Meta-owned studio Magnopus briefly listed ‘Quest 3S’ as a supported device in their fitness game Alo Moves XR.

With the name of the headset confirmed as Quest 3S, the focus now shifts to its features. Rumors suggest that the Quest 3S will maintain the same lenses and display as Quest 2, but will be powered by the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset like Quest 3. Additionally, it is rumored to include color passthrough for mixed reality experiences and may be available in 128GB and 256GB models, with a target price of $299.
