Pop star Justin Timberlake was sentenced to community service on Friday, September 13, 2024, after changing his plea to guilty following an arrest for drunk driving, as reported by US media.

On June 18, the 43-year-old entertainer was pulled over in Sag Harbor, New York, after police observed his BMW disregarding a stop sign and having difficulty staying within lanes.

Sag Harbor Village Justice Court justice Carl Irace imposed a community service sentence on Timberlake and required him to make a public statement after pleading guilty to a lesser charge of driving while alcohol impaired, according to The New York Post.

The arresting officer described Timberlake as unfit to drive, noting his bloodshot and glassy eyes, the strong smell of alcohol on his breath, impaired attention, slowed speech, unsteady gait, and poor performance on sobriety tests.
