According to sources, a security forces vehicle was attacked by terrorists in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday (September 11, 2024), resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to four others.

The terrorists carried out the ambush in Mamond tehsil, Bajaur district, near the Afghanistan border, causing significant damage to the vehicle through intense firing.

Upon receiving the news, additional forces rushed to the scene of the attack and secured the area.

Just a few days earlier, on Monday (September 9, 2024), a bomb explosion targeted a vehicle transporting workers associated with the Pakistan Polio Programme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, leaving six individuals injured, including three policemen.

The blast occurred in Wana town, South Waziristan district, injuring three polio workers and three policemen.

In a recent incident, security forces successfully prevented a deadly attack on a Frontier Corps unit headquarters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, eliminating four suicide bombers in the process, as reported by the military.

The four attackers were neutralized during their assault on the Mohmand Rifles Headquarters in Ghalanai town, Mohmand district, which shares a border with Afghanistan, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army’s media wing.
