Check Point secured for annual Security Serious cyber awards

Nominations are now open for the 2024 Security Serious Unsung Heroes cyber security awards. These awards aim to recognize the exceptional talent within the UK security community. This year, veteran cyber security company Check Point has joined a lineup of sponsors that includes names such as Hornet Security, KnowBe4, Pulse Conferences, ThinkCyber, and The Zensory.

Now in its ninth year, the Security Serious awards program, organized by the specialist PR agency Eskenzi PR, honors frontline defenders, security leaders, educators, and individuals working towards promoting diversity in the sector and raising awareness of mental health issues among security professionals.

Emilie Beneitez Lefebvre, Check Point’s PR head for APAC, EMEA, and LATAM, emphasized the crucial role of individuals in ensuring our safety in the ever-evolving digital landscape. She stated, “The Security Serious Unsung Heroes Awards highlight the resilience and expertise of those safeguarding our cyber infrastructure. Check Point is excited to be a sponsor this year, as we believe in recognizing and celebrating the unsung heroes who contribute to making the UK a safer place for all.”

Yvonne Eskenzi, co-founder and director at Eskenzi PR, underscored the importance of acknowledging the people behind the scenes who work tirelessly to keep us safe in the cyber security industry. She expressed, “The cyber security community is filled with passionate individuals dedicated to protecting businesses and the public from cyber threats, and it’s essential that we celebrate them as the heroes they are.”

The nominations for the Security Serious Unsung Heroes Awards are open until 5pm BST on Friday, 6 September, with the winners set to be announced at a London event in October. The judging panel for this year includes previous winners, sponsor representatives, and industry experts such as Jenny Radcliffe, also known as The People Hacker.
