Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter gets a February 2025 release date

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is scheduled to be released in February 2025, towards the end of winter. United Label has confirmed the release window, although the exact day has not been specified. A new trailer has been unveiled, showcasing gameplay elements and introducing a new enemy for the protagonist rats to confront – the ferocious and bloodthirsty bats. The game’s new lead character, Arlo, is also introduced as a formidable force to be reckoned with.

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter continues the story after the southern war events in the original Tails of Iron game. Players will take on the role of Arlo, the son of the Warden of the North, as he defends the North from incoming threats. This sequel promises new gameplay features, including a day and night cycle that affects enemy behavior. Players will encounter 15 challenge beasts, each offering rare materials to enhance gear. Additionally, base building mechanics have been improved, allowing players to rebuild the settlement of Winter’s Edge for access to better equipment. Arlo can equip weapons with elemental powers such as fire, ice, poison, and electricity. The game will offer a semi-open world RPG experience, with six diverse environments to explore.

In a preview of Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, Adrian expressed excitement for the game, stating, “In short, Tails of Iron 2 is more of the same, though this time with an arresting Game-of-Thrones-Winter-is-Coming aesthetic. Quite frankly, that’s more than enough to leave us very excited to get our teeth sunk into the full game upon release.”

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter will be available on various platforms including PC, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
