Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed again, this time until the first half of 2025

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced another delay, pushing its release date to the first half of 2025. Publishers Paradox Interactive and developers The Chinese Room have announced that the delay is necessary to further polish the game, address feedback, and enhance its storyline.

Paradox shared the news through a video featuring Alex Skidmore, creative director at The Chinese Room, and Mattias Lilja, deputy CEO at Paradox.

“Earlier this year, Paradox reiterated our commitment to delivering top-quality games to our players, and the decision to postpone the release date is a proactive step towards fulfilling this commitment,” stated the announcement accompanying the delay. “Although the game could have been released as planned, Paradox and The Chinese Room jointly agreed to prioritize polishing the game.”

The announcement aims to reassure eager fans that the game is nearing completion, with focus on enhancing various aspects such as additional content, expanded storylines, more endings, diverse clan combat, and more.

Paradox has faced challenges this year, including the failure of Lamplighters League, the problematic launch of Cities Skylines 2, the cancellation of Life By You, and the indefinite delay of Prison Architect 2.

These setbacks led Paradox CEO Fredrik Wester to acknowledge missteps in major projects and a decline in profits.

Bloodlines 2 has also had a tumultuous development history, with initial plans for release in 2020, changes in creative leadership, and a shift to The Chinese Room for development. Despite continued struggles, the game is now in the hands of The Chinese Room, showing potential for improvement.
