Ex-Trump official Linda McMahon fears fate of small businesses under a Harris admin

Former Trump Small Business Administration head Linda McMahon is expressing concerns about the potential small business climate under a Harris-Walz administration.
During an interview on FOX Business’ “The Big Money Show” on Thursday, McMahon shared her apprehensions about the economic landscape under Harris and Walz’s leadership.
Reflecting on the Trump administration, McMahon highlighted the positive impact of lower regulations, reduced taxes, high optimism rates among small businesses, increased business startups, and a flourishing economy. She contrasted this with the current situation under the Biden-Harris administration, where regulations and taxes have increased, and optimism levels have dropped. McMahon emphasized the importance of a vibrant small business community for a thriving economy.
She also criticized the Democratic presidential candidate’s proposal for federal price controls to combat “price gouging” on groceries, attributing the economic slump to the current administration’s policies.
McMahon expressed her concerns about the potential for more regulations and taxes under a Harris-Walz administration, citing Governor Tim Walz’s record of having the highest corporate tax rate in the country.
She highlighted the challenges faced by small businesses operating under an administration that discourages growth and enthusiasm, particularly through measures targeting price gouging. McMahon stressed the importance of providing small businesses with the tools and environment needed for success and innovation.
McMahon also addressed Vice President Kamala Harris’ attempts to distance herself from the Biden administration’s economic policies, pointing out the issues of wage growth and inflation faced by Americans. She argued that Harris has supported these policies and emphasized the need to support small businesses and American workers for economic growth.
She noted the difficulties faced by workers in an environment where wages do not keep up with inflation, leading to people taking on additional jobs to make ends meet. McMahon underscored the importance of supporting small businesses and American workers to foster a flourishing economy.
