Kate Middleton and Prince William have released a special video message from home following the conclusion of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a pre-recorded message to congratulate Great Britain’s athletes on their outstanding performance.
“From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB,” Middleton, 42, expressed in the video shared on the couple’s X and Instagram accounts on Sunday.
“Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all,” added the future king.
The mother of three appeared joyful standing beside her husband, who sported a beard in the recording.
Princess Catherine donned a striped black-and-white shirt, reminiscent of the one she wore when she revealed her cancer diagnosis to the public in March.
She wore her brunette hair straight with a subtle side part.
William, on the other hand, opted for a stubble look and wore a blue Adidas polo featuring the Olympics logo.
“Well done @teamgb, what an incredible journey!” read the caption. “Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart, and passion. You made us all so proud!
“Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇.”
The video also featured special messages from Snoop Dogg and David Beckham.
Team GB secured the 7th position on the medals table, with a total of 14 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 29 bronze medals.
Although the Waleses did not attend the Olympics in Paris, their absence was expected as Middleton had announced she would be taking time off to focus on her cancer treatment.
After her cancer announcement, the princess mentioned in a letter that she was “making good progress” but experienced “good days and bad days” during chemotherapy.
The following day, Middleton joined the royal family for King Charles’ birthday celebrations on the Buckingham Palace balcony at the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Last month, she attended the Wimbledon tennis championships, reportedly her last public appearance for the foreseeable future.
Meanwhile, William and their eldest son, Prince George, journeyed to Berlin, Germany to witness the EURO 2024 final where England faced Spain in the soccer match.
