KRAFTON, a Korean publisher, has recently acquired Tango Gameworks and the HI-FI RUSH intellectual property from Microsoft.

This acquisition marks KRAFTON’s first major investment in the Japanese market. Tango Gameworks, founded in March 2010 as part of Zenimax Media, was later acquired by Microsoft in 2021.

Despite being shut down by Microsoft in May along with other global workforce cuts, KRAFTON plans to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition for Tango Gameworks.

KRAFTON’s support will enable the Tango Gameworks team to continue developing the Hi-Fi RUSH IP and explore new projects, maintaining their commitment to innovation and delivering exciting experiences for fans.

Existing titles from Tango Gameworks, such as The Evil Within, The Evil Within 2, Ghostwire: Tokyo, and the original Hi-Fi RUSH game, will remain unaffected by the acquisition and continue to be available worldwide.
