Drop into this Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 multiplayer gameplay video

Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have unveiled an extended multiplayer gameplay video for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, showcasing the 3-player PvE Operations and the PvP Eternal War mode. Space Marine 2 is set to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on September 9th.

Set on Planet Kadaku, the mission tasks the team with reaching a refinery to destroy a swarm of Tyranid aliens. The gameplay highlights a variety of Space Marine gear, including jump packs, Power Hammers, Power Swords, shields, scoped Bolters, and more, engaging in intense battles with the Tyranids.

The video also features PvP competitive multiplayer, with 4v4 battles between Space Marines and Chaos Marines in the Capture and Control game mode, offering character customization options.

Both modes offer six playable classes – Tactical, Assault, Vanguard, Bulwark, Sniper, and Heavy – with a customization system allowing players to level up weapons through gameplay. Post-launch, Saber will introduce content updates with additional Operations missions, PvP maps, weapons, and more.

In the main story campaign, players will follow the Ultramarines and Captain Demetrian Titus (now demoted to Lieutenant) as they confront the Tyranid hordes on the Imperial worlds of Avarax and Kadaku. Titus undergoes the Rubicon Primaris process to become a Primaris Space Marine, a new narrative development in the 42nd millennium.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 emphasizes gritty combat, focusing on executions to recharge abilities. Players will face off against formidable Tyranid enemies in intense battles, utilizing a variety of weapons and combat strategies.
