4. Tour the Queen Mary

Formerly an historic ocean liner, the Queen Mary is now a multifunctional establishment, serving as a hotel, museum, and entertainment venue. Our friends from Southern California make it a tradition to visit the Queen Mary every Halloween for the spooky events it hosts. One of our friends even had a chilling encounter with paranormal activity during an overnight stay.

Every ticket includes a guided tour. Delve into the Art Deco design, delve into its rich history, and choose from a variety of tours (the ghost tours are particularly popular). We opted for the Hollywood Tour since I prefer non-scary experiences.

Following your tour, take some time to explore the complimentary exhibits, sample the cuisine at the various restaurants, or enjoy a drink at the Observation Bar (be sure to check out their Happy Hour specials).

The ship also hosts a range of events throughout the year. Some events are free with RSVP and typically include access to the ship.

Local Tip: If you have a dining reservation, entrance to the Queen Mary is included!

Getting Here: If you plan to visit the Aquarium on the same day, consider taking the AquaLink water taxi. It’s a quick and scenic journey across the water, priced at just $5 per person each way.
