Olympic Ring Toss

Activities & Days Out / 23 July, 2024 / Nanny Anita

With the Paris Olympics starting soon, it is time to re-post this Olympic Ring Toss activity.

Make sure that you follow our outside activities board on Pinterest for more ideas, and don’t forget to pin the Pin at the bottom.

To make your own Olympic ring toss you will need:

  • Kitchen roll
  • Card Stock
  • Paint
  • Compass
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrushes

Make 5 big circles and then in each of them draw a smaller one so that when it is cut out it will make a disk.

Paint each one of the disks a different colour; we used red, blue, black, yellow and green to represent the colours of the Olympic rings.

Paint the kitchen roll white.

When it is all dry you are ready to play.

EC and I spent a long time playing this Olympic ring toss together, YC came and joined us for a while, but the main competition was between EC and I.

YC joined us for some of it, but she was more interested in choosing which recipe she wanted to make.

Fun Fact

Did you know that when the Olympic flag was originally created, the 5 ring colours combined with the white background represented all the colours of the flags of all the nations at the time, without exception!
