About Dozier’s
Established in 1957, Dozier’s has been a staple in Houston. The history of Dozier’s dates back to the 1950s when Ed Dozier decided to share his love for barbecue with the town. He opened Dozier’s in Fulshear, Texas, just west of Houston, where the most delicious barbecue was created. The word spread, and Dozier’s became the go-to spot for barbecue enthusiasts.
Through the years, Dozier’s has maintained its reputation as the top barbecue destination in town. Celebrities, athletes, locals, and even politicians have all savored the flavors of Dozier’s barbecue, and now it’s your turn to experience it too!
In 2019, Jim Cummins and Steve Baur acquired Dozier’s, and in 2020, they brought in renowned pitmaster Jim Buchanan. They continue to use Ed Dozier’s original recipes that have won the hearts of Texans.
During these challenging times, enjoying delicious food and BBQ can be a source of comfort. Fortunately, the original flavors of Dozier’s can still be enjoyed even after many years have passed.
