The upcoming Deadpool movie is set to hit theaters next week, with Marvel unveiling a new quirky trailer. Along with the mix of silly jokes and snappy one-liners, the trailer introduces Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool, alternate versions of The Merc with a Mouth.

It appears that Wade Wilson will be venturing into the Marvel universe alongside various other comic book characters. Notably, the previous teaser featured Sabretooth, Wolverine’s famous arch-enemy.

Deadpool 3 release date

The release date for the third Deadpool film has undergone several changes, initially slated for September 6, 2024, then moved to November 8, 2024, and finally pushed forward to May 4, 2024.

Deadpool 3 plot

The first teaser hints at the Time Variance Authority (TVA) playing a crucial role in the new film, the same agency controlling timelines in the multiverse, familiar to fans of the Loki series. Deadpool is expected to interact with the Authority in the upcoming movie.

Wade will seize the opportunity to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and expresses interest in teaming up with the Avengers squad, referring to himself as the Messiah and Marvel Jesus in the teaser.

With Deadpool entering the MCU, cameos from various superheroes are anticipated, with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine being the most significant.

Despite the conclusion of the mutant’s adventures in the film Logan (2017), the multiverse concept allows for characters to return in alternate timelines. Wolverine in Deadpool 3 is likely to be a different version of the original hero, as hinted by Ryan Reynolds in an interview with ET Canada.
